Seattle's Pop-up play café
Where little ones play and grown-ups pause
We pop up in Seattle neighborhoods on weekends. Kids get a safe and fun play space. Parents get a hot coffee, relaxing morning, and adult conversations. Join us!
What you'll find inside
Play & Pause is a cozy pop-up play space designed for both kids and parents. Little ones can explore age-appropriate toys and open-ended play while parents slow down with coffee, conversation, and a relaxed morning together. We created this because parenting can feel isolating, especially on weekends, and we wanted a space that felt welcoming, low-pressure, and community-focused.
Safe Play Zones
Kid-friendly space and play stations with building blocks, sensory tables, wooden toys, and more. Enough to keep your toddler busy (and off your lap).
Fresh Coffee & Tea
Coffee from a local Seattle roaster. Best enjoyed while sitting down for more than 11 seconds.
Instant Community
Honestly, the best part might be sitting next to another parent who also hasn't slept and just laughing about it.
Pop-ups on the calendar
Small group sizes by design. Each ticket covers one child plus an accompanying grown-up. Add siblings at a reduced rate.

👋 We are Daljit & Mira
Becoming Mira's mom has been the best thing. And also the end of the unhurried weekend coffee. Cafés aren't built for toddlers, and playgrounds aren't built for grown-ups who'd like to sit down and actually talk. So we're building the place we wished existed: somewhere kids can roam and play safely while parents actually sit back, sip, and talk to another adult. We think parents deserve that. Thanks for supporting us. ❤️

2-3 hours. Our sessions are designed to be flexible. Come anytime during the event and stay as long as you'd like within the session window.
0-4 yrs (and parents, of course!)
We're starting at cozy daycares that are already kid-friendly. We're also considering cafes, dance studios, or community centers where we can add a play space. If you know a spot that would be a good fit, we'd love to hear about it!
Right now, Magnolia & Queen Anne. We're hoping to rotate into other Seattle neighborhoods and eventually the Eastside.
If things go well, we'd love to do this most weekends. Maybe even weekdays.
Meeting parents in the neighborhood is a nice perk. But it's totally fine if you just want to chill or get some work done!
Each ticket is good for kid + 2 grown-ups. You’re welcome to bring a friend. You can invite other parent friends and kids to book spots and enjoy the pop up together!
